HIGHLIGHTS
By the grace of Allah, to begin with, the farsightedness of our Revered Founder Alhaj Dr. B S Abdur Rahman, a philanthropist, a business tycoon as well as a humanitarian founded this college to improve the educational lot of women. He identified muslim girls could not pursue higher education after +2 level for various reasons, and he sought to transform the situation by establishing a college with residential facilities for the muslim girls of our state and for the muslim students from abroad. We have heard the big force behind this project of starting a college here in Kilakarai was his Sister "Thassim Beevi" who sowed the seed of thought in the mind of our revered founder Alhaj Dr. B S Abdur Rahman. Though the seed was sown in the seventies, it came to reality after 17 years. The long term planning has yielded good results now, by producing first generation women graduates with life skills and special skills for placement opportunities. In Tamilnadu, this is the second Muslim Minority Higher Education Institution for Women founded in Kilakarai on 28th July 1988. We will be completing two decades of our successful service to the society especially to the student community on 28th July 2008.
